Want to contribute?

• Send fresh / rough / poetic stuff that wants to be out of the house.
• Send previously published stuff that you think may fit this project.
• Send wacky, ill, delicious prose.
• Send journal entries or political rants or other work that suits the spirit of this enterprise.
• You can publish it anywhere before, during, or after the period in which the work is up on the blackboard. The blackboard is a place to declaim, not a publishing venue.

I'll try to let you know in less than a week if I think it will work for the blackboard. Probably long pieces are not as well suited to this format as shorter ones.

If you are on a Mac, send only plain text files. If you are on Windows or Linux, sent text, RTF, or MSWord (doc) files. Or jpg or gif. If you want a bio linked to your work, send one in when you send the piece. I will link your email to to the piece unless otherwise instructed.

A note on formatting: this is not a place for exquiste arrangements of word objects. It's too hard to get it right in html. There is a tag in html, <pre> , which takes the format of a text file as 'preformatted' and reproduces it, more or less. It doesn't support mixing of fonts, no italics or bold, and it gives only rough approximations of white space. That's textual life in cyberspace, sorry.

For starters, I will archive pieces via links in the archive page. The link will specify your name, the date it went up in the blackboard, and the title.

Finally, whether or not you contribute writing, you can always contribute...financially!
